The aim of Site Businesses is to encourage the introduction of convenient services for patients, visitors and staff. Site Businesses look for new ways to generate additional income for the Trust by using otherwise redundant resources. Site Businesses generate additional revenue from retail units, office and clinical space and aerial sites.

Retail Units

The Trust has a number of retail units including WH Smith, Nat West Bank, Café Select, Upper Crust, A Piece of Cake, Stock Shop, Flowertime, Creative Hair Studio and photo kiosk. The rental of these premises provides added services for Patients, Visitors and Staff. The Trust continues to consider further ways to increase services.

Office and Clinical Space

The Trust works closely with a number of clinical organisations like the MoD and Anaesthetic Group Practice. Areas within the Trust not used for its own NHS work are rented to organisations, which require clinical or office space and benefit from being in a clinical setting.

Aerial Sites

From time to time the Trust agrees to rent roof space to emergency services, radio stations and telecom companies. The Trust closely monitors the activities and also the frequencies used by the companies.

Video Conferencing

Both Guy's and St Thomas' have dedicated video conferencing facilities which are available for hire.
