PATIENT INFORMATION
The Information Centre
Guys Nuffield House has established an information room for patients and relatives. With the aid of audiovisual material we aim to enhance understanding about certain illnesses and the treatment as well as health maintenance. Please ask a member of the ward nursing staff for more details.
Ambulances
If required, a fully equipped and staffed ambulance can be arranged for patients.
Room Service
A dedicated catering service is provided in Guys Nuffield House. A wide range of food and beverages are available for patients and visitors.
Newspapers
A complimentary daily newspaper is offered to all patients. Other newspapers and magazines can be provided on request from our Receptionist.
Postal Services
Mail is delivered to patients rooms. Writing paper and envelopes are provided.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome to visit patients from 11.00 am until 9.00 pm depending on the patients condition. If relatives wish to visit patients immediately after surgery, arrangements should be made with the nursing staff.
Accounts and Invoicing Arrangements
Our Business Office staff will be pleased to advise on financial arrangements prior to admission and at any time during a patients stay. Cheque, American Express or Visa can settle accounts. For patients who hold private medical insurance cover, direct settlement for medical expenses can normally be arranged. Extras, such as personal telephone calls and visitors meals are not covered by insurance and must be settled before patients leave the hospital.
Fees for consultants, anaesthetists and other medical specialists are not included in the hospital account and are normally sent to patients after their discharge from hospital.
